Review policy
How every RelikReview campaign is run
Our team runs every campaign from plan to final review, and every review comes from a real user, within each platform's rules. This policy sets out who writes the reviews, what reviewers decide for themselves, the methods we never use and the rules we follow.

The short version
- Real people who have used the product write every review
- Reviewers pick their own words and rating
- We never pay or reward reviewers
- No bots, fake accounts or posting for others
- Each platform's own rules come first
01Who writes the reviews
Every review in a RelikReview campaign is written by a real person who has used the product. Our team runs the campaign end to end, and each reviewer posts in their own name, through the platform's own review form.
Nobody on our team, and nobody at the client, writes or posts a review for someone else. Each platform page explains how a campaign works on that platform.
02What every reviewer decides for themselves
A reviewer in one of our campaigns is free to:
- Write in their own words, with no script and no approval step
- Choose any star rating, including a low one
- Mention problems as well as strengths
- Decline to write a review at all, with no follow-up pressure
Neither we nor our clients see a review before it is published, and nobody asks a reviewer to change one afterwards.
03Rewards and payment
Reviewers receive nothing from us: no payment, gift, discount, credit or other reward. Clients pay RelikReview for the work behind a campaign: planning the campaign, writing the outreach, pacing it and tracking each review.
Some platforms run their own incentive programs, such as Capterra's gift cards for published reviewers or G2's disclosed incentives. Those programs are run by the platform under its own rules. A client can choose to use them, and they stay separate from our work.
04Accounts and methods we never use
- Bots, scripts or automated posting
- Fake, bought, borrowed, shared or aged accounts
- Reviews written by our team, by the client or by anyone who has not used the product
- Posting a review on someone else's behalf
- Asking reviewers to copy a template or a set of key phrases
05How campaigns are paced
Reviews arrive gradually across a delivery window or campaign schedule agreed with the client before payment. We do not deliver reviews in bursts, because a sudden spike looks unnatural to buyers and to the platform's own checks.
The window depends on the platform, the number of reviews and how active the profile already is, so we confirm it per order instead of quoting a fixed number of days.
06What we will not do for any client
- Promise a star rating, a badge, a Grid position or a ranking
- Invite only happy users, or screen reviewers by their opinion
- Remove, hide or report honest reviews because they are negative
- Write or arrange reviews of a competitor's product
- Run a campaign on a platform in a way that platform's rules forbid
07Platform rules we follow
We check each platform's own published rules before we run a campaign there, and again when they change. In short:
| Platform | What its rules say | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Bans every kind of incentive for reviews, from cash and gifts to discounts and loyalty points. Fake reviews are removed and profiles can be flagged. | Official rules | |
| Only actual users may review. Incentives up to $100 are allowed only when disclosed to G2 and never tied to opinion. Vendors may not ask only happy users. | Official rules | |
| Vendors may not buy reviews, use third parties to generate reviews or post for users. Reviews are submitted on Capterra and can appear on GetApp and Software Advice. | Official rules | |
| Reviews are moderated. SourceForge runs its own review program on some paid plans, with gift cards sent by SourceForge. | SourceForge | |
| Every review is moderated before it goes live, and each reviewer confirms they are writing from their own experience. | SoftwareSuggest | |
| Bans any compensation for reviews, discounts and refunds included, and names review-selling services. Reviewers must be clients who have bought or used the full product. | Official rules |
These are summaries. Each platform's own page is the final word, and we follow the latest version.
08If a platform removes a review
Platforms check reviews before and after they go live, and they can remove any review. On G2, Trustpilot, SourceForge and SoftwareSuggest packages, if a review fails to appear or is taken down while the window is open, we replace it at no extra cost.
Capterra and HubSpot packages are priced as a campaign with a review target, so replacement does not apply there. Each package lists exactly what it includes.
09What we ask of clients
- Describe the product, its users and its markets accurately
- Do not offer reviewers money, discounts or gifts outside a platform's own program
- Do not contact reviewers to ask for a higher rating or a changed review
- Tell us if a platform contacts you about your reviews
We stop a campaign if a client asks us to break this policy or a platform's rules.
10Customer data
Most campaigns need nothing from the client beyond a profile link and a short product description. If a campaign does use contact details the client shares, we use them only to run the agreed campaign, and we agree how they are stored and when they are deleted before it starts.
11Reporting a concern
If you think a review linked to a RelikReview campaign breaks this policy, email [email protected] with the platform, the profile and the review. We look into every report and tell you what we found.
We update this policy when a platform changes its rules or when our process changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
