We knew we had happy customers but never had time to ask them. RelikReview wrote the invites in our voice, sent them through Capterra's own link, and the reviews followed.

Customers chose their own ratings and wrote in their own words. A couple of reviews raised fair points, and replying to them in public has helped us.

Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice

How more Capterra reviews help you reach B2B software buyers

Five reasons to keep new Capterra reviews coming, and why they can also count as GetApp reviews and Software Advice reviews.

01Small businesses compare software on Capterra

Small and mid-sized businesses turn to Capterra when they shortlist software in a category. They compare ratings, review counts and recent reviews, and products with few or old reviews drop off the list early.

02An optional thank-you from Capterra

Capterra's own review program can send gift cards to customers who publish a review, under Capterra's rules. We help you switch it on if you want it, so customers get a thank-you and your campaign stays within the guidelines.

03One review, three comparison sites

Capterra's guidelines say reviews may be published on its affiliated sites, including GetApp and Software Advice. One campaign builds your rating on the sites where many small businesses compare software, while each site decides where a review appears.

04Ratings buyers read in detail

Capterra reviewers rate ease of use, customer service, features and value for money as well as the overall score. Buyers read those scores to see where a product is strong, and detailed reviews from real customers fill each one in.

05Reviews that pass Capterra's checks

Capterra verifies reviewers and checks every review before it goes live, which it says can take up to a week. Reviews from your own customers pass those checks because they describe real use of your product.

Choosing a Capterra review service

Capterra review campaigns compared with review sellers

  • Where reviews are submitted

    Capterra's official review link

Typical seller: Fake or bought accounts

  • Rewards for reviewers

None from us; Capterra's own gift cards only if you turn them on

Typical seller: Cash per review, hidden from Capterra

  • Star ratings

    Chosen by each customer

Typical seller: Almost always 5 stars

  • Who owns the result

Reviews from customers you can talk to again

Typical seller: Reviews nobody can stand behind

  • Risk to your listing

    Stays within Capterra's rules

Typical seller: A profile note or suspended services

FAQ

Questions about buying Capterra reviews

Answers on Capterra's rules, pricing, customers and timing. Still unsure? Ask us.

Can you buy Capterra reviews?

Not within Capterra's rules. Capterra bans vendors from buying reviews, using third parties to generate them and posting reviews for users, and it can add a note to your profile or suspend services. What you can do is invite your own customers to review you, and that is the campaign we run for you.

How much does a Capterra review campaign cost?

Each package is a one-time payment. Starter is $150 with a target of 5 reviews, Growth is $280 with a target of 10, and Scale is $390 with a target of 15. The price covers planning, writing, sending and reporting. Your customers decide whether to leave a review, so the number is a goal we plan for.

Is a customer review campaign allowed on Capterra?

Yes. Capterra's own review program is built for vendors who invite their customers. Our invites go out under your company's name, use your Capterra review link and reach your own customers, and each customer writes and submits their review on Capterra. We never write, submit or edit a review.

Do you pay or reward reviewers?

No. Reviewers get nothing from us. Capterra runs its own gift card offer through its review program, and you can choose to turn it on in your vendor account. Capterra's system sends those gift cards to published reviewers, whatever rating they give.

Which customer details do you need from us?

Names, emails and the product each customer uses. If you would rather keep the list in-house, your team can send the invites we write. Capterra reviews have to come from real users, so the campaign always starts with your customers, and we agree how their data is handled before anything goes out.

Can you make sure every review is 5 stars?

No. Each customer picks their own rating, and we invite customers without filtering for happy ones. Capterra checks reviews before they go live, and a natural mix of 4 and 5-star reviews with the odd lower score looks more believable to buyers than a wall of perfect ratings.

Do Capterra reviews show on GetApp and Software Advice?

They can. Capterra's guidelines say reviews may be published on its affiliated websites, including GetApp and Software Advice. One campaign can build your rating on all three sites, though each site decides where and how a review appears on its pages.

How long does a Capterra campaign take?

Sending invites and reminders takes most of the time, and we agree that schedule with you before the campaign starts. After a customer submits a review, Capterra checks it before publishing, which it says takes up to 72 hours on average and can take up to a week.

What if fewer customers review than the target?

The target is a goal we plan for, since customers choose whether to review. If the campaign falls short, the weekly report shows where responses dropped and we suggest the next group of customers to invite. Any extra work is scoped and priced with you before it starts.

Can you remove negative Capterra reviews?

No. Honest reviews stay up whatever the rating, and we never ask Capterra to take one down. A calm public answer from your team tells buyers you listen, and new reviews from current customers give a fuller picture of your product. Every campaign comes with reply templates for this.

Can I run a Capterra campaign alongside other platforms?

Yes. You can invite customers to Capterra and, in a separate step, to G2, Trustpilot or SourceForge. We plan each platform with its own scope, schedule and price, all agreed before you pay, so customers never get a pile of requests at once.
