G2 alternatives: the short answer
The main G2 alternatives for SaaS are Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice, now owned by G2, plus TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights, SourceForge, SoftwareSuggest, Trustpilot and the HubSpot App Marketplace. Pick by audience: business teams compare on Capterra, enterprise IT reads TrustRadius and Peer Insights, developers use SourceForge, and HubSpot customers check the marketplace.
These sites work best alongside G2. Keeping your G2 profile active while you add the site a specific group of buyers uses means the reviews you already have keep working, and the new profile reaches readers who may never open a G2 category page.
If the real goal is more reviews on the profiles you already have, a new site may not be the answer. Teams that would rather hand the work over can buy business reviews through a managed campaign: G2 reviews for SaaS come from verified users, campaigns to purchase Capterra reviews run with their own customers through Capterra's review link, and our page on how to get SourceForge reviews covers developer and IT tools.
Why B2B buyers read sites like G2 before they shortlist
Review sites still shape which vendors make a shortlist. In G2's 2026 Buyer Behavior Report, a survey of more than 1,000 B2B software buyers and decision-makers published in July 2026, review sites were the top source shaping shortlists at 38%, just ahead of AI chatbots at 37%. The same research found that 82% of buyers had sourced software recommendations from an AI chatbot in the last 24 months, and G2 runs a review site itself, so treat the figures as its view of how buyers research.
Review sites are also built for comparison. G2 refreshed its compare pages in April 2025 so that AI-generated summaries show the main feature-level differences between two products, and Capterra and GetApp also let buyers explore and compare tools in one category. A buyer who compares two tools on G2 can check the same pair on a second site to see whether the reviews tell the same story.
That is why a strong G2 profile can still leave gaps. If your competitors have reviews on Capterra or TrustRadius and you have none, buyers who start their research there never see you. Our guide on why g2 reviews matter explains what G2 itself does for a product, and the sections below cover the sites around it.
Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice: G2 competitors under one owner
Until 2026, three well-known G2 competitors were software discovery sites run by Gartner. On 29 January 2026, G2's announcement of the Capterra deal said it had agreed to buy Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp from Gartner, creating a network that reaches 200+ million annual software buyers with nearly 6 million verified customer reviews. By June 2026, G2 referred to the three sites together as G2 Digital Markets.

What changes for SaaS companies
The first change is ownership. A choice between G2 and Capterra is now a choice between two sites run by the same company, and since June 2026 G2's Buyer Intent product has shown research activity from G2, Capterra, Software Advice and GetApp in one view. For vendors who buy intent data, a buyer researching on Capterra can now appear next to activity from G2.
What has not changed is just as useful. Each site still runs under its own name, with its own buyers and its own review rules, and Capterra's community guidelines for reviews, last updated in May 2026, say a review collected there may be published on Capterra, Software Advice, GetApp and partner sites. One Capterra review can therefore reach three sites, while G2 reviews are still collected through G2 under G2's own guidelines.
Capterra
Capterra says it has given business leaders software advice for over 25 years and shows more than 2.5 million verified reviews. Its review team uses more than 30 human quality assurance moderators and more than 20 control checks per review, and it asks for proof of use when a review looks suspicious. Vendors must ask a broad cross-section of users, and any incentive must be the same for every reviewer whatever their rating, stay at nominal value and be marked with a Reviewer Source icon.
GetApp
GetApp describes itself as an ecosystem of business app and software discovery platforms that helps businesses find and compare trusted software. Its about page cites over 2.5 million verified reviews, the same figure Capterra shows, which fits the shared publishing set out in Capterra's guidelines.
Software Advice
Software Advice works differently, because its main offer is one-on-one help from advisors that is free to buyers. A buyer fills in a form, an advisor calls to discuss goals, needs and budget, and a tailored list of software options follows by email within 15 minutes. Its pages also carry more than 2.5 million verified software reviews, and in July 2026 G2 said Software Advice had opened its first new market in 10 years, for AI legal assistants.
TrustRadius and Gartner Peer Insights for enterprise buyers
Products sold to IT teams and larger companies often face buyers who want depth more than volume. Two sites are built around that reader, and both tie each reviewer to a LinkedIn profile or a work email address.

TrustRadius
Under TrustRadius's content integrity policy, every reviewer authenticates through LinkedIn or a work email address before writing, and TrustRadius checks that each one has recent experience with the product. The average review is about 400 words and takes 18 minutes to write, and TrustRadius says it rejects about 3% of reviews as fraudulent or below its standards.
Its labels help buyers who worry about bias. A review a vendor asked for shows "Invited by: Vendor", an incentivized review shows "Incentive: Yes", and the trScore gives more weight to recent reviews and to reviews from a representative, random sample of customers. Pick TrustRadius when your buyers are B2B technology teams who read detailed reviews before they commit.
Gartner Peer Insights
Peer Insights is still run by Gartner, separate from the three sites G2 bought. Gartner describes it as a verified peer-driven review platform for buyers and sellers of enterprise technology and business solutions. Under the Gartner Peer Insights FAQ, reviewers must be IT professionals or otherwise involved in technology purchasing, with a corporate email address that matches their stated company and a confirmed profile on gartner.com or a site such as LinkedIn.
Reviewers do not need to be Gartner clients, and they certify that they do not work for the vendor or a competitor. Gartner may offer reviewers gift cards worth $25, and vendors can fund their own gift cards too. Pick Peer Insights when you sell into enterprise IT and your buyers already use Gartner research.

SourceForge, SoftwareSuggest and HubSpot for specific buyers
Some review sites serve a narrower group of buyers. They seldom replace G2, but for the right product they put reviews in front of readers who may never compare vendors on G2 at all.
SourceForge
SourceForge calls itself a complete software review and comparison platform, and it serves two groups: B2B and IT professionals who look for business software, and developers who build and share open source projects. Founded in 1999, it says it has over 20 million visitors per month and lists over 127,100 business software titles, which buyers can compare by price, user reviews, integrations, deployment, support and training. It suits developer, IT and security tools.
SoftwareSuggest
SoftwareSuggest helps businesses discover software and service partners, with over 50k software and services listed and over 40,000 verified reviews. Buyers can also ask for free, personalized software recommendations or a call back, so it fits products whose buyers want a guided recommendation as well as reviews.
HubSpot App Marketplace
For apps that plug into HubSpot, the marketplace listing is the review profile that matters most. HubSpot's rules for reviewing marketplace apps say a reviewer must be logged into HubSpot, have the app installed in their current account or have removed it less than 14 days ago, and be one of the first three users in that account to review the listing. Reviews stay tied to real installs, which makes it the first site to build for any HubSpot app.
Where Trustpilot fits for SaaS products
Trustpilot serves a different reader from G2. Trustpilot says anyone can share what happened and how they felt about it, good or bad, on what it calls the world's largest open feedback platform, and it states that no one can buy a higher score. That open model suits consumer and prosumer apps, where individuals choose software for themselves.
For a B2B product, Trustpilot works best as a second profile next to G2 when individuals also sign up on their own. Our guide to trustpilot alternatives looks at the same choice from the other side, for SaaS companies that started on Trustpilot and want to add a B2B site.
How to choose the best G2 alternatives for your buyers
The right choice depends on who approves the purchase and where they research, so start from your buyer and work back to the site. The table below matches each buyer group to the sites built for it:
| Buyer you want to reach | Sites to consider | What the site offers that buyer |
|---|---|---|
| Business teams comparing tools in a category | Capterra, GetApp | Category lists and verified reviews shared across both sites |
| Buyers who want a guided shortlist | Software Advice, SoftwareSuggest | Free advisor calls or personalized recommendations |
| Enterprise IT and technology buyers | TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights | Reviewers checked through LinkedIn or a work email |
| Developers and IT teams | SourceForge | Business software and open source projects in one place |
| HubSpot customers | HubSpot App Marketplace | Reviews only from accounts that installed the app |
| Consumers and prosumers | Trustpilot | Open reviews of any business |

Start with one site beyond G2 and build it to a steady pace before you add another, because two active profiles tell a buyer more than five thin ones. Check where your three closest competitors have reviews first, since a buyer who compares vendors on a site where you have no profile simply never sees you.
Run every site with the same habits. Ask every customer the same way at a fixed point, such as day 30 or the account anniversary, keep the wording neutral and offer no reward beyond what the site allows. Our guide to g2 review guidelines explains how G2 checks and publishes reviews, which makes a sound baseline for the other sites.
Cover G2 and five more review sites with RelikReview
RelikReview runs review campaigns on G2 and on five of these alternatives, so you can buy business reviews for more than one site in a single plan, with the timing and price in writing first.
- Verified users where the site allowsG2, Trustpilot, SourceForge and SoftwareSuggest.
- Your customers on Capterra and HubSpotEach campaign uses the platform's own review link.
- Never paid, own ratingEvery reviewer chooses their own star rating.
Picking the review sites your buyers read
G2 alternatives are worth adding when they reach buyers your G2 profile misses. Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice now share G2's owner but keep their own readers, TrustRadius and Gartner Peer Insights serve enterprise technology buyers, and SourceForge, SoftwareSuggest, HubSpot and Trustpilot each fit a narrower audience.
Pick one site, read its rules and ask every customer the same way until reviews arrive at a steady pace. If you would rather hand that work to a team that runs it every day, the RelikReview team can help you buy reviews online from real reviewers within each platform's rules, starting with a written plan.
FAQs about G2 alternatives
What are the best review sites like G2 for B2B SaaS?
The best options for B2B SaaS are the review sites your buyers already use to compare software. For most teams that means Capterra with GetApp and Software Advice, plus TrustRadius or Gartner Peer Insights for enterprise IT buyers. SourceForge fits developer tools and the HubSpot App Marketplace fits HubSpot apps, so choose by audience.
Does G2 own Capterra?
Yes, G2 now owns Capterra, along with GetApp and Software Advice. G2 announced on 29 January 2026 that it had agreed to buy the three sites from Gartner, and by June 2026 it called them G2 Digital Markets. Each site still runs under its own name, with its own buyers and review guidelines.
Is TrustRadius a good alternative to G2?
Yes, TrustRadius is a good fit when your buyers are B2B technology teams who read detailed reviews. Every reviewer authenticates through LinkedIn or a work email, the average review runs about 400 words, and labels show when a vendor invited the reviewer or offered an incentive. It works best alongside a G2 profile.
Can you collect reviews on G2 and Capterra at the same time?
Yes, you can collect reviews on G2 and Capterra at the same time, because each site keeps its own profile and its own review guidelines. Ask every customer the same way on both, spread requests so neither site sees a sudden spike, and follow each site's rules on incentives and on who may review.
Should a SaaS company leave G2 for another review site?
No, most SaaS companies are better off keeping G2 and adding one more site. A G2 profile without new reviews looks neglected to buyers who still check it, while a second site reaches buyers who research elsewhere, such as enterprise IT teams on Gartner Peer Insights or developers on SourceForge.
What is Gartner Peer Insights?
Gartner Peer Insights is Gartner's verified peer review platform for buyers and sellers of enterprise technology and business solutions. Reviewers must be IT or business professionals involved in technology decisions, with a corporate email that matches their company, and they do not need to be Gartner clients. It suits products sold to enterprise IT teams.
