HubSpot Solutions Directory: a list of partner reviews checked under a magnifier, with a paid review flagged for removal
On this page

The HubSpot Solutions Directory is where HubSpot customers go to find an agency or consultant for their portal, and the order of that list shapes who gets the first enquiry. HubSpot says profiles are ranked by review count as well as tier, so client reviews are one of the two signals a partner can grow month by month.

This guide explains how buyers use the directory, how it orders partners, how clients leave reviews and who may write them. It also covers what HubSpot's reviews policy bans and how a partner can ask clients fairly, using HubSpot's own pages checked on 25 October 2026.

Key takeaways

  • The directory lists HubSpot Solutions Partners, and buyers filter it by service, industry, accreditation, country, language, budget, integrations and partner tier.
  • HubSpot ranks profiles by review count as well as tier, and lists every untiered profile after the tiered partners.
  • Only a partner's clients, logged in to HubSpot, may review it, with one review per client for each service, and staff, contractors, family and free trial users are excluded.
  • HubSpot's reviews policy bans any compensation for a review, review-selling services, reviews written from a customer account and retaliation against reviewers.
  • Partners copy a review link from their Directory Profile, can reply once to each review and can report reviews that break the rules.

What is the HubSpot Solutions Directory?

It is HubSpot's public list of Solutions Partners: the agencies and consultants that help HubSpot customers with marketing, sales, service, web design, CRM and IT work. Buyers filter the list, compare each firm's tier, rating and client reviews, and contact the partners that fit. Reviews come only from clients who have worked with the partner.

HubSpot's Solutions Partner directory page opens with the line "Grow your business with the help of a HubSpot partner" and sets out three steps for buyers: find a partner, start the conversation, then "accept the best proposal and get your project underway". Many people simply call it the HubSpot partner directory.

For a partner, the listing works like a shop window that HubSpot customers walk past every day. Some partners get HubSpot reviews through a RelikReview campaign that runs with their own clients through HubSpot's review flow, with no rewards. Partners that also sell their own software can purchase SourceForge reviews or purchase SoftwareSuggest reviews for those product listings, since software buyers compare tools on both sites.

How buyers find a HubSpot partner in the directory

A buyer can find a HubSpot partner in two ways. They can browse the full list from the Solutions Partners tab of the HubSpot Marketplace, or answer HubSpot's questionnaire to get "targeted recommendations" instead. Either way, the buyer ends on a short list of profiles and contacts the firms that look right.

When browsing, the buyer narrows the list with filters. In October 2026 the directory offered these:

  • Service, such as website design, email marketing or paid advertising.
  • Industry, plus HubSpot accreditation, such as CRM Implementation or Data Migration.
  • Country and language.
  • Budget type.
  • Integrations.
  • HubSpot partner tier, from Gold to Elite.

Each result card shows the firm's name, a short description, its tier and, when it has reviews, its average rating out of 5 with the review count in brackets. A filter can only match what a partner puts on its profile. HubSpot's guide to creating a Solutions Directory profile, last updated on 28 September 2026, lists the fields: services, up to five industries, integrations, regions, languages and an approximate budget range, with changes taking up to 24 hours to show.

How the HubSpot Solutions Directory orders partner listings

HubSpot states the rule in one sentence on the directory page: "Profiles are ranked by review count as well as tier." It adds that "All other profiles are listed after our tiered partners," so a firm with no tier sits below the tiered firms however many reviews it has. HubSpot does not publish how much weight each signal carries, so treat both as parts of one score.

How partner tiers work

Tiers are set by the Solutions Partner Program. HubSpot's 2026 Solutions Partner tiers page says that from 15 July 2026 the program has five levels: Solutions partner, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Elite. Each tier needs a minimum number of sourced points and total points, from 115 sourced and 345 total for Gold up to 2,750 and 11,000 for Elite.

The top two tiers also measure retention. Diamond partners need an average GRR of at least 75% and Elite partners at least 80%, and every partner must stay in good standing, which includes having no current or recent "at fault" escalations on record.

Why review count is the signal you can work on

Tier depends on the business a partner sells and keeps, which moves over quarters. Review count moves each time a client leaves a review, which makes it the part of the ranking a partner can work on every month without waiting for revenue to change.

Reviews also do a second job once the buyer opens a profile. If your team still asks why are online reviews important for a services firm, the directory gives a plain answer: the review count helps decide where a partner appears, and the reviews themselves help decide whether the buyer gets in touch.

How HubSpot partner ratings and reviews appear on a listing

HubSpot partner ratings come from the same review form HubSpot uses across its Marketplace. On a result card, the buyer sees the average out of 5 and the number of reviews, and on the profile they can read each review in full. Some cards show no rating at all, which leaves the buyer with only the tier and the description to judge.

What a client writes

HubSpot's guide to leaving a Marketplace review, last updated on 14 January 2026, covers partner reviews too. The client opens the Solutions Partners tab, picks the listing and clicks Write a review, then sets an overall rating from 1 to 5 stars. They add an overall review, pros, cons and a title, and they can leave private feedback that goes only to the partner's team.

Before submitting, the client ticks a box that reads "I agree that my review follows HubSpot's review guidelines". That checkbox is a reminder that every review is checked against the same policy described below.

Replies and reports

HubSpot's guide to managing Solutions Directory reviews, last updated on 29 September 2026, gives partners one reply per review. The client receives the reply by email, and it appears on the public listing page, so a calm, specific answer is read by every future buyer.

A partner can also click Report under a review that is offensive, uses profane language or breaks HubSpot's guidelines. HubSpot reviews the request within ten business days. If it removes the review, that rating no longer counts toward the listing's rating, and the client can leave a new review.

Who can review a firm in the HubSpot partner directory

The HubSpot Marketplace Reviews Policy covers the Solutions Directory as well as the App and Template Marketplaces. It says "Only a Service Provider's Client can submit a review," and defines a client as someone who "has purchased or used a full version of a Service Offering" from that partner. The client must be logged in to their HubSpot account, and a partner "can only receive one review per client per Service Offering."

HubSpot partner directory reviews: logged-in clients may review once per service, never staff, contractors or trial users

The policy also names the people who may never review a partner:

  • The partner's affiliates, employees, consultants, independent contractors, third party partners and family members.
  • A competitor, such as another Solutions Partner, unless the review states the relationship.
  • Event attendees who are not clients, such as people at a HubSpot User Group (HUG) meeting the partner led.
  • HubSpot employees.
  • Free trial users of the service.

Two of these rules catch partners more often than the rest. Freelancers who work on client projects count as contractors, so they cannot review the firm, and a busy HUG is a room full of people who have met the team but have never bought from it.

What HubSpot's reviews policy bans for Solutions Partners

The policy's rule on rewards is short and wide. Reviewers may not post a review "in exchange for compensation of any kind (including free or discounted products, refunds, or reimbursements)", and partners may not offer "compensation or financial reward" for one. The ban "includes using services that sell customer reviews, websites, or social media groups."

The policy goes on to ban:

  • Reviewing your own services, directly or through "anyone acting on your behalf".
  • Reviewing a competitor's services.
  • Using "a customer account to write or change a review".
  • Retaliating against clients who post reviews.
  • Using the Report button against a competitor.

The customer account rule matters more for partners than for most businesses. Agencies often hold user seats in their clients' HubSpot portals, and writing or editing a review from one of those seats breaks the policy even when the client agreed to it. For the App Marketplace side of these rules, such as install-based eligibility, see our guide to HubSpot review guidelines.

The penalty can reach the listing itself, since the policy says a breach "may result in removal of your review or removal of your product, service or listing". It also protects honest criticism: HubSpot does not remove a review "simply because it may be negative or not to the Service Provider's liking".

How a partner can ask clients for directory reviews fairly

HubSpot gives partners one tool for asking: a review link. In HubSpot, go to More, then Partner, then Directory Profile, and click Copy review link in the All Customer Reviews section. The page needs a Partner Account subscription and Solutions Directory permissions for partner tools.

Five steps to ask clients for HubSpot partner ratings and reviews fairly, from copying the review link to replying once

A fair process uses that link the same way for every client:

  1. Pick fixed points. Ask at points every client reaches, such as 30 days after go-live, the end of a project or the anniversary of a retainer.
  2. Ask the people who did the work. Send the link to the client contacts who worked with your team and log in to HubSpot themselves.
  3. Use the same neutral message. Ask for an honest review and say nothing about the rating.
  4. Offer nothing in return. No discount on the next invoice, free hours or credit, for any rating.
  5. Reply to every review. Use your one reply to thank the client or answer a concern.

Avoid triggers that only satisfied clients reach, such as a renewal, an upsell or a strong campaign result, because the asking then filters who reviews. For wording you can adapt across email, calls and project wrap-up meetings, see our guide on how to ask customers for reviews.

The HubSpot Solutions Directory in short

The HubSpot Solutions Directory orders partners by review count as well as tier, and buyers then judge each profile by its rating and the reviews themselves. Tiers follow the business a partner sells and keeps, while reviews grow each time a real client shares an honest opinion.

Partners who ask every client at the same fixed points, with one neutral message and no rewards, keep every review they earn. If you would like help planning a review campaign that fits HubSpot's rules, talk to the RelikReview team about where to start.

FAQs about HubSpot partner reviews

How does HubSpot rank partners in the Solutions Directory?

HubSpot ranks Solutions Directory profiles by review count as well as tier, according to its directory page. Tiered partners, from Elite down to Gold, are listed before all other profiles. HubSpot does not publish how it weighs the two signals, so partners usually work on both their tier and their number of client reviews.

Who can review a HubSpot Solutions Partner?

Only a partner's clients can review a HubSpot Solutions Partner, meaning people who bought or used a full version of its service. They must be logged in to HubSpot and may leave one review per service. Employees, contractors, family members, competitors, free trial users and event attendees who are not clients cannot review.

Can a HubSpot partner offer a discount for a review?

No, a HubSpot partner may not offer any compensation or financial reward for a review. The reviews policy covers free or discounted products, refunds and reimbursements, and it also bans services that sell customer reviews. A breach can lead HubSpot to remove the review, or the partner's service or listing.

Where do partners find their Solutions Directory review link?

Partners find the review link in their HubSpot account under More, Partner, then Directory Profile. In the All Customer Reviews section, Copy review link copies the URL to share with clients. Using the page needs a Partner Account subscription and Solutions Directory permissions for partner tools.

Can a partner remove a negative directory review?

No, HubSpot does not remove a review simply because it is negative or not to the partner's liking. A partner can report a review that is offensive, profane or breaks the guidelines, and HubSpot reviews the request within ten business days. If it is removed, its rating stops counting and the client may review again.
